The exact Anki setup I used for the MCAT.

Install Anki, add the same add-ons I rely on, and learn how to actually use it. Everything below mirrors my personal configuration — copy it and start reviewing smarter.

1. Install Anki

Anki is free on desktop (Windows/Mac/Linux). The mobile apps sync to it. Install the desktop app first — that's where add-ons live.

Go to the official download page and grab the version for your computer.

Open Anki and create a free AnkiWeb account (Sync button) so your cards back up and sync to your phone.

On iPhone/iPad, get AnkiMobile (paid) or use AnkiWeb in a browser. On Android, AnkiDroid is free.

2. How to use Anki

New to Anki? Watch this first — it covers decks, reviewing, and the daily workflow.

3. My add-ons

To install a coded add-on: open Anki → Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons… → paste the code → restart Anki. For the custom one, download the file and use Install from file…

Find cards from UWorld test AnkiWeb

Paste your UWorld question IDs and it pulls up the matching cards in your deck — huge time-saver for review after a block.
